Concrétion enveloppant un clou de charpente.

At the morning’s briefings we discussed the various options for the way forward. Given the technique we have used it is hard to imagine that we missed the wreck in between trenches.

We decide to excavate trencehes in between those containing pebbles and concretions. The presence of nails inside the concretions has been confirmed.

Souad en joyeuse lavandière

They are 15cm long, very similar to those used in shipbuilding.

We excavate three intermediate trenches of about 20 metres long and they all seem similar to the previous ones.

The day passes with no further discoveries and the moral of the team is low. We go to the dive club to leave all our equipment.
