Le bois flotté de Mr. Dalli.

This morning we woke up to beautiful weather and a calm sea. We quickly set up the tent so as to enjoy its shade.

Some of the residents are interested in our work and offer some contradictory information on the site.

The owner of the tower tells us that he thinks that a part of the wreck was recently lifted and offered to take us to see it. We go with him to a farm and find a form of ‘mast’ which is seven metres in length and 25cm in diameter. It seems to be a piece of wood that may have floated across the channel from Gozo.

Galets ( de lest ?) trouvés sur le site.

We continue our work but we begin to doubt the information that has been passed to us. The only indication that we are close to the wreck is the presence of pebbles and nails.

Once again, Franz Dalli, the owner of the tower, comes to visit and tells us of a large anchor and he takes us to hotel where it had been taken nearly 15 years ago. However, it is no longer there.

In the evening we go and check our mail at the web cafe where all the clients are watching the European cup.
